Korman Quad at Drexel University

Philadelphia, PA | 2017 | 2.25 acres | $9.2M

Korman Quad at Drexel University is a learning landscape allowing students to learn and use technology comfortably within the landscape. The lighting scheme ensures that the space is used both day and night.

The project transformed disjointed, vehicular-oriented spaces into a much-needed campus center. Using native plants, a distinctive hardscape and multi-use seating, the open space activates a circulation corridor for students, faculty, and the greater community. In addition to pleasing and functional path lighting, light is integrated into hardscape seating areas while firefly bollards, designed by Linnaea Tillett, add playful charm to the planting beds.
